Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform all sterile processing duties including decontamination, inspection, assembly and sterilization of general and specialty surgical sets
• Handle and maintain robotic instruments, including Davinci robotic sets, ensuring they are prepped and tracked for OR use
• Support surgical teams across Surgery (3 ORs), OB, ER and clinics with timely instrument turnaround and OR support
• Document sterilization processes and instrument tracking in EPIC and maintain accurate records for patient safety
• Respond to on-call assignments within the required 30-minute response time and support night/weekend coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with peers, lead techs and managers to streamline workflows and uphold infection prevention standards
• Participate in hospital and unit-specific orientation and ongoing competency training to maintain high-quality care

Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT required (Certified Registered Central Service Technician or Certified Sterile Processing Technician)
• BLS (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience; experience in ortho trauma and robotics strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in snowy conditions and able to travel/commute within a 60 mile radius; valid driver’s license must be submitted
• Familiarity with EPIC charting and instrument tracking systems
• Ability to respond to call and work occasional weekend and night 12-hour shifts as required
• Willingness to complete the hospital orientation week in-state

• Sterile processing and decontamination techniques
• Robotic instrument handling and care (Da Vinci experience a plus)
• Orthopedic trauma and total joints instrumentation knowledge
• Instrument sterilization modalities and validation processes
• EPIC documentation and charting for sterile processing workflows
• OR teamwork, sterile field etiquette and infection prevention practices
• Ability to manage call rotations and prioritize urgent instrument needs
• Attention to detail, time management and strong communication with surgical teams
