Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound studies with attention to image clarity and clinical relevance
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and infection-control standards
• Accurately document procedures and findings in Cerner and maintain clear patient records
• Collaborate with cardiology and allied health teams to support patient-centered acute care
• Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort during exams
• Participate in orientation and follow facility policies and quality assurance processes

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in echocardiography/sonography (acute care experience preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Facility requires the ability to submit credentials (License to Submit: Yes)
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic charting systems
• Proven ability to work effectively in an acute care setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound techniques
• General sonography principles and image optimization
• Familiarity with Cerner charting and documentation workflows
• Strong patient communication and positioning skills
• Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Basic life support procedures and emergency awareness
