Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform all routine CT exams for inpatient, outpatient and emergency department patients with accuracy and compassion
• Provide high-quality trauma CT imaging and prioritize emergent studies when minutes matter
• Assist with advanced procedures such as cardiac CT, biopsy/drain, and cryo/microwave ablations under direction
• Start IVs for outpatient studies when required, maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Operate and troubleshoot CT scanners including GE REV CT and GE REV HD while following radiation safety protocols
• Use EPIC for charting and SECTRA PACS for image management to ensure clear communication with the care team
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, and tech leadership to maintain smooth workflow across three scanners
• Participate in department orientation and ongoing quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• ARRT Certified CT (ARRT CT) and ARRT Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience, including trauma imaging
• Comfortable performing IV insertion for outpatient procedures
• Experience with EPIC and SECTRA PACS or similar systems preferred
• Radiation badge required prior to starting the travel assignment
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and scheduled holidays as assigned; optional call with 45 minute response time

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CT imaging skills including routine and trauma protocols
• Familiarity with cardiac CT, biopsies/drains, and ablation support
• Proficiency with PACS (SECTRA) and EMR systems (EPIC)
• Hands-on experience with GE REV CT and GE REV HD scanners
• IV insertion skills and patient phlebotomy comfort
• Ability to manage a high-volume environment (approximately 65-70 scans per 24-hour period across three scanners)
• Solid radiation safety knowledge and adherence to badge monitoring
• Basic Windows navigation and clinical software troubleshooting
