Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the physician as a scrub tech during cardiac catheterization procedures, including left heart caths and stent placements
• Provide skilled monitoring and accurate documentation of hemodynamic and procedural data in EPIC
• Set up and troubleshoot cath lab equipment including Siemens cath systems and Philips IVUS
• Participate in pacemaker and ICD cases, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Float between assigned campuses as needed while maintaining timely on-call response within 30 minutes
• Collaborate with the cath lab supervisor and multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Complete unit-specific orientation at each campus and follow facility policies, including fingernail and dress code requirements

Qualifications

• ARRT or RCIS registration required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience, including left heart caths, stent placement, pacemaker and ICD experience
• Comfortable scrub-to-assist duties and patient monitoring/documentation
• Valid driver’s license at time of submittal and ability to meet a 30-minute response time to your home campus
• Willingness to float between Lakeside, Immanuel and Mercy campuses and provide on-call coverage
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ARRT or RCIS certification required
• BLS (AHA) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC charting and documentation
• Experience with Siemens cath systems, Siemens sensis, Apollo and Philips IVUS
• Strong sterile technique and procedural scrub skills
• Excellent patient monitoring and documentation abilities
• Clear communication skills for interacting with cardiologists, supervisors and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage 1-3 cath cases per day in a fast-paced acute setting
