Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate critical care to adolescent through geriatric patients in a 10-bed ICU
- Manage ventilated patients and perform ventilator management, ensuring safety and best practices
- Monitor hemodynamics and titrate vasoactive drips and IV infusions with precision
- Care for patients with arterial lines and respond to acute changes quickly and confidently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and regional partners to deliver high-quality trauma and critical care
- Serve as a resource on unit protocols; step into charge or preceptor roles when called upon
- Document care accurately in EPIC and maintain timely medical/occupational health compliance
Qualifications
- Active RN license (New Hampshire required; compact allowed) and ability to provide license with submission
- Minimum 2+ years of current ICU experience (required)
- EPIC experience (required)
- Arterial line experience (required)
- Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Proficiency with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV drips/infusions and vasoactive medications
- Charge nurse and preceptor experience is a plus
- Own reliable vehicle and include permanent address in profile
- Ability to upload required compliance documents within 72 hours of offer acceptance
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing principles and level III trauma care
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
- Vasoactive medication titration and drip management
- Arterial line care and waveform interpretation
- Proficient documentation in EPIC and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to float to PCU and adapt to varying patient acuity
