Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight, ~12.5-hour shift). Schedule includes approximately 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period; overnight/rotating nights with weekend coverage required.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality progressive care to step-down and med-surg patients
- Manage ventilators and provide trach care for stable, ventilated patients
- Perform chest tube management and wound dressing changes with clinical precision
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips and complex medications while monitoring responses
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Prioritize patient safety and contribute to unit-based quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Experience with trach care, ventilator management, and chest tube care
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Progressive Care (PCU) or relevant med-surg experience
- Comfortable working nights and participating in weekend coverage
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Progressive care assessment and patient monitoring
- Ventilator management and trach care techniques
- Chest tube management and postoperative care
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record
- Cardiac drip administration and titration
- Strong clinical judgement, multitasking, and teamwork
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
