Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality progressive care to step-down and med-surg patients
• Manage ventilators and provide trach care for stable, ventilated patients
• Perform chest tube management and wound dressing changes with clinical precision
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips and complex medications while monitoring responses
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Prioritize patient safety and contribute to unit-based quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Experience with trach care, ventilator management, and chest tube care
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Progressive Care (PCU) or relevant med-surg experience
• Comfortable working nights and participating in weekend coverage
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive care assessment and patient monitoring
• Ventilator management and trach care techniques
• Chest tube management and postoperative care
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record
• Cardiac drip administration and titration
• Strong clinical judgement, multitasking, and teamwork
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
