Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, includes rotating weekends (night-focused schedule)

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilators and provide advanced ventilator support and titration for critically ill patients
- Perform ABG draws and timely analysis to guide clinical decisions
- Respond to Rapid Response calls and Code Blue events; assist with intubations as needed
- Deliver daily respiratory treatments, assessments, and develop patient-focused plans of care
- Document all care accurately and efficiently in Cerner to maintain continuity and compliance
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as V60 Bipap, GE 860 ventilators, Vapotherm, Comfort Flow, and Aervo devices
- Practice proactive patient care and independent decision making in dynamic critical care situations
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care or ventilator management experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform ABG analysis and advanced airway management including intubation
- Experience with Cerner documentation preferred
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced critical care environment
- Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts including weekends and nights
Education
- Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent; RRT credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of ventilator management and modes, including GE 860 ventilators
- Hands-on experience with V60 Bipap, Vapotherm, Comfort Flow, and Aervo systems
- Strong ABG interpretation and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to respond effectively to Rapid Response and Code Blue situations
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and communication skills
- Proactive patient advocacy and collaborative teamwork
