Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based critical care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide direct patient care and maintain accountability for assigned ICU patients
• Monitor hemodynamic status and promptly communicate clinical changes to physicians
• Perform patient/family teaching and guide other nursing personnel to maintain standards of care
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and documentation using EPIC EMR

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital with critical care experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• CCRN certification preferred
• DCI/BVP and other facility-required certifications preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU nursing skills including patient assessment and care planning
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of diagnostic results
• Proficient with EPIC EMR for documentation and clinical communication
• Ability to teach patients and families and to lead other nursing staff effectively
• Comfort with rapid decision-making and responding to acute changes in condition
• Familiarity with prime skills checklists, rhythm interpretation, and specialty competency exams
