Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists and interventional teams during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Prepare, calibrate and troubleshoot cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure procedural areas are stocked and ready
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and respond to intra-procedure changes with urgency and clarity
• Perform specimen handling, documentation, and accurate charting of procedures
• Participate in emergency response and code situations as a skilled team member
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and technologists to optimize patient flow and outcomes
• Complete required competency exams and checklists to demonstrate procedural readiness

Qualifications

• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• License and/or certificate verification completed prior to start
• Willingness to be on-call as required by the facility
• Ability to pass a Prime drug screening (minimum 10-panel) and required health screenings
• Up-to-date immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing or documentation)
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam
• Strong teamwork, communication and the ability to work in high-acuity procedural settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with cath lab equipment, imaging systems and sterile field maintenance
• Understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and EKG rhythm recognition
• Skilled in aseptic technique and procedural setup
• Strong documentation and patient care reporting skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced procedure schedules
• Familiarity with inventory management and equipment sterilization processes
• Comfortable responding to intra-procedural changes and emergency situations
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
