Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray exams with care and precision to support patient diagnosis
• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images
• Operate radiographic systems while following ALARA principles for radiation safety
• Review images for technical quality and communicate immediately when repeat imaging is needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete required documentation
• Adhere to infection control, vaccine, and testing requirements to protect patients and coworkers
• Complete required Prime competency exams and specialty checklists to demonstrate proficiency
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Current X-Ray technologist certification/license (will be verified)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• DCI/BVP certification as listed in job requirements
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Ability to pass required health screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hepatitis B, influenza, Tdap, varicella, and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
• Fit test-compliant and able to meet site-specific infection control requirements
• Reliable, professional demeanor and strong patient communication skills
• Per diem availability and flexibility to cover day shifts as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Familiarity with radiography equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and patient shielding
• Comfort with electronic medical records and imaging documentation
• Attention to detail for image quality and accuracy in patient identification
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients of all ages and multidisciplinary teams
• Preparedness to complete competency exams and abide by facility protocols
