Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging and produce high-quality diagnostic images to support patient care
- Process and transmit images to PACS accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with radiologists and the multi-disciplinary team during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Position and prepare patients with care and attention to safety and comfort
- Operate mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment as needed
- Maintain radiation safety practices and adhere to state and facility protocols
- Document procedures and maintain required records, including license/cert verification
Qualifications
- Valid CT license as required by state regulations
- ARRT (CT) certification (CT ARRT required per state effective 07/01/2015)
- Fluoroscopy permit (where required by state)
- BCLS/BLS (AHA) current upon hire
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography/CT program
- Minimum one year of acute clinical radiology experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS/image processing
- Willingness to complete required health screens and immunizations (COVID-19, TB, MMR, Hep B, influenza, Varicella, Tdap) and drug screening
Education
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- CT imaging principles and protocols
- Image processing and transmission to PACS
- Strong anatomy knowledge and medical terminology
- Radiology procedures and patient positioning
- Radiation safety and dose management
- Experience with mobile and stationary radiographic equipment
- Fluoroscopy workflow and safety
- Comfortable using clinical computer systems and software
