Shift Type: Nights (overnight schedule — exact start/end times to be confirmed by the facility; night shift)
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care to children and adolescents in crisis
- Lead and participate in team nursing and interdisciplinary team meetings with physicians and social workers
- Collaborate closely with social workers and the care team to develop and implement discharge plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely in EPIC
- Safely manage and access medications using Omnicell systems
- Complete facility-required competency exams, skills checklists, and specialty testing
- Maintain compliance with required immunizations, screenings and license verifications
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure with verification via Nursys (state license in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience (child/adolescent experience preferred)
- Certifications required: BLS and DCI/BVP
- Experience using EPIC electronic health records and Omnicell medication systems
- Completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology, Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist and Prime Specialty Exam as part of onboarding
- Ability to pass required health screenings (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hep B, Tdap, varicella, influenza, and drug screen)
- No IV certification required for this role
Knowledge & Skills
- Child and adolescent crisis intervention techniques
- Psychiatric nursing assessment and intervention
- Discharge planning processes and coordination with social services
- Team nursing workflows and effective interdisciplinary communication
- Proficient EPIC documentation and charting skills
- Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
- Strong clinical judgment, de-escalation skills and a calm presence on night shift
