Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and communicate relevant changes to the care team
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response
- Coordinate with physicians and other providers regarding diagnostic results and abnormal findings
- Provide patient- and family-centered education and support throughout the ICU stay
- Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and professional standards of care
- Supervise and support other nursing personnel to ensure consistent, safe practices
- Complete required competency testing, skills checks and unit documentation timely and accurately
Qualifications
- Active RN license verifiable via Nursys
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- DCI/BVP certification as required by the facility
- Critical care / ICU clinical experience (experience in hemodynamic monitoring preferred)
- Ability to pass required health screenings and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Successful completion of Prime competency exams and skills checklist prior to start

- ICU and critical care nursing best practices
- Hemodynamic monitoring and patient assessment
- Rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Direct patient care and advanced critical care interventions
- Patient and family education strategies
- Use of prime/core competency testing and skills validation processes
