Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, responding quickly to changes in patient condition
• Communicate clinical changes and diagnostic results clearly with physicians and the care team
• Provide patient and family teaching and support throughout the care episode
• Coordinate and guide activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit
• Document care accurately in EPIC EMR and maintain regulatory and facility compliance

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Proficient use of EPIC EMR for documentation and communication
• Comfort collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Patient and family education techniques
• Familiarity with nursing process and standards of care in acute telemetry settings
