Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Provide direct ICU nursing care and continuous hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill patients
• Communicate clinical changes and abnormal findings to physicians promptly and clearly
• Guide and educate patients and families, helping them understand care plans and recovery steps
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain standards of care and excellent outcomes
• Supervise and mentor other nursing personnel during shifts to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Maintain patient privacy, documentation accuracy, and compliance with unit protocols

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, with critical care experience
• MEPIC EMR experience required
• CCRN preferred
• DCI/BVP certification listed as required in credentialing section
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Able to pass required health screenings and drug testing (PPD/TB, immunizations, and fit test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care nursing skills including ICU patient assessment and direct patient care
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of diagnostic data
• Experience with MEPIC EMR for charting and medication administration
• Excellent clinical decision-making and rapid response to patient changes
• Patient and family education skills with clear, compassionate communication
• Familiarity with core ICU competencies, rhythm interpretation, and specialty skills
