Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) exams that help clinicians make accurate diagnoses
• Operate CT equipment safely and effectively while following radiation safety protocols
• Position patients with care and compassion, ensuring comfort and optimal imaging results
• Verify patient identity, clinical history and exam orders before each procedure
• Complete required competency exams and specialty checklists to maintain clinical excellence
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical staff to support patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation, including image labeling and electronic records
• Adhere to infection control, vaccination and workplace health requirements to keep patients and staff safe

Qualifications

• Current, valid license/certificate verification as required by state and employer
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — current
• DCI/BVP certification as listed in the posting
• Willingness and availability to work night shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Completion of required pre-employment screenings and competency exams (Prime Core, Specialty, Skills Checklist)
• Current immunizations and health requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test/PPD, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, fit test/drug screen)
• Professional, patient-centered demeanor and strong communication skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (Associate degree preferred or equivalent certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) operation and protocol knowledge
• Patient positioning and imaging technique for excellent image quality
• Radiation safety principles and infection control practices
• Ability to complete credentialing/competency exams and specialty checklists
• Familiarity with license/certification verification processes
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation practices
• Team collaboration and effective patient communication
