Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
- Perform rapid triage, thorough assessments, and timely interventions for acute conditions
- Administer medications and treatments safely following established protocols
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to arrhythmias appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and disposition
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and professionally
- Participate in performance improvement, competencies, and unit-based education
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Indiana preferred)
- Current BLS required
- ACLS and PALS certification required
- NIHSS and DCI/BVP familiarity (certifications or demonstrated competency preferred)
- Completion of license/certificate verification and required pre-employment health screening
- Ability to pass fit test, drug screen, TB test and other site-specific health requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing skills and comfort with high-acuity patients
- Basic pharmacology knowledge and safe medication administration
- Basic rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring proficiency
- Familiarity with stroke assessment (NIHSS) and emergency protocols
- Competence with core emergency department competencies and specialty exams
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
