Roles & Responsibilities
- Support invasive cardiology and cardiac catheterization procedures with precision and care
- Operate and monitor hemodynamic monitoring systems during diagnostic and interventional cases
- Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot Cath Lab and IR equipment to ensure seamless procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize patient care and outcomes
- Ensure strict adherence to BLS/ACLS protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
- Complete required competency exams, specialty checklists, and documentation accurately
- Verify and maintain required certifications and state licensure documentation
Qualifications
- ARRT-R AND state license as required OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Electrophysiology Specialist (required)
- BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire
- Certification verification and completion of required competency testing
- Previous cardiovascular lab, Cath Lab, or IR experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation
Education
- Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Invasive cardiology basics and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Cath Lab and IR workflow and instrumentation
- Cardiovascular technologist best practices
- Strong attention to sterility, safety, and infection control procedures
- Ability to complete Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
