Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to adult patients in an ICU setting
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition using advanced clinical judgment
- Operate and manage ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring as needed
- Administer medications safely and document interventions accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatments, and recovery plans with compassion
- Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and maintain required competencies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license with ability to verify via Nursys
- Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, Hepatitis B, TB testing or PPD documentation)
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings including fit test and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
- Willingness to complete Prime competency exams and skills checklists prior to start
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making
- Proficient with rhythm interpretation and basic advanced cardiac life support
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic support
- Comfortable with IV medication administration and titrations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Prime competency testing and readiness processes
