Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care across the lifespan during night shifts
• Rapidly assess and triage patients, prioritize life-saving interventions and escalate when needed
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and administer advanced cardiac life support as required
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate efficient patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs for continuity of care
• Participate in unit-based safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide clear, supportive communication to patients and families in high-stress situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license (New Jersey) — ability to verify via Nursys or state board
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification for neonatal resuscitation required when caring for neonates
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP familiarity preferred or expected for stroke/vascular assessments
• Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing or acute care settings preferred
• Completed required employer health screenings and immunizations (TB, MMR, Hep B, influenza, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing principles and triage
• Cardiac life support and advanced rhythm interpretation
• Pediatric and neonatal resuscitation techniques
• Basic and advanced pharmacology relevant to emergency care
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking under pressure
• Clear documentation, teamwork and patient-centered communication
• Competency with unit core skills and specialty checklists
