Shift Type: 3x12 Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night), 3 nights per week; every-other-weekend coverage; specific workdays vary
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for adults and geriatrics in an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit
- Perform neurological and functional assessments to guide individualized rehab plans
- Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac events and emergencies with confidence
- Administer IV therapies, blood products, and manage central lines including PICC care
- Care for tracheostomies, feeding tubes (NG/PEG), and manage complex respiratory needs
- Deliver wound care and pressure ulcer prevention strategies to support healing
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic and participate in daily huddles and weekly care conferences
- Collaborate with PT, OT, ST, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient discharge goals
- Teach patients and families diabetic care, mobility techniques, safety measures, and post-discharge plans
Qualifications
- Current CA RN license required
- AHA BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Neuro/Stroke unit experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination plus booster required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac emergency response
- Neurological assessment and stroke scale familiarity
- IV therapy, blood administration, and central line care
- Tracheostomy and respiratory care including suctioning and oxygen delivery
- Feeding tube management (NG, PEG) and swallowing precautions
- Wound care and pressure ulcer prevention
- Patient education, diabetic teaching, and fall risk prevention
- Safe patient handling and mobilization techniques
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
