Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Day); One weekend day (typically Sunday) every other weekend
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled outpatient occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
- Perform ADL assessments and recommend adaptive equipment to maximize patient independence
- Create and teach home exercise programs that help patients progress between visits
- Fabricate and fit dynamic and functional splints to support upper extremity function
- Conduct wheelchair evaluations and positioning to improve comfort and mobility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physical therapy, to coordinate care
- Document thoroughly and timely in Epic, including assessments, reassessments, and discharge summaries
- Deliver clear patient and family education to promote safety, function, and long-term outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Occupational Therapy license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant occupational therapy experience
- Experience with outpatient, hand clinic, or pediatric populations preferred
- Comfortable charting in Epic and collaborating across inpatient and acute rehab settings
- Ability to work one weekend day every other weekend as part of the schedule
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of Activities of Daily Living assessment and treatment
- Splinting skills including dynamic and functional splints
- Adaptive equipment assessment and recommendations for adults and pediatrics
- Wheelchair evaluation and positioning expertise
- Proficiency in evaluation, plan of care development, reassessments, and discharge planning
- Familiarity with modalities like therapeutic ultrasound (pediatric experience a plus)
- Excellent patient and family education, lifting and transfer techniques, and safety planning
