Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care: assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility: assist with transfers and ambulation while using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and contribute to resident care plans
- Promote a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility safety policies
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure individualized care
- Participate in shift handoffs and collaborate to create continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current LNA certification (state-appropriate) in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transportation and ability to secure housing (must provide own transportation and housing per facility notes)
- Willingness and ability to work both weekends when needed
- Successful completion of background check and required health screenings/immunizations
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Nurse Aide/LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Basic wound care observation and reporting
- Infection control practices and PPE use
- Clear documentation and electronic charting familiarity
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
