Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing staff with resident mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
- Document care and changes in condition clearly and professionally
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to support individualized care plans
- Follow facility policies and infection control procedures to keep residents safe
- Support a positive resident experience through kindness, patience, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Current LNA certification (as required by state) in good standing
- Demonstrated experience providing direct resident care preferred
- Reliable transportation required (must have own vehicle)
- Ability to secure local housing independently for the assignment
- Willingness to work weekends as needed
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background check and any facility onboarding requirements
- Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current LNA/Licensed Nursing Assistant certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Skill in taking and documenting vital signs and basic observations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes in condition promptly
