Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, precise external beam radiation treatments including IMRT, IGRT, SRS and SBRT
• Perform CT simulation and prepare patients for treatment planning using Eclipse
• Operate Varian systems such as TrueBeam and Varian 21 EX/IX and utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging
• Manage a busy daily caseload of approximately 50-60 adult patients with professionalism and empathy
• Chart patient care and treatment progress in EPIC accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary oncology team to optimize patient care and treatment plans
• Provide patient education, positioning, and tumor localization to ensure treatment accuracy
• Support dosimetry tasks and electron setups as required

Qualifications

• ARRT-T certification required
• BLS certification required
• Valid Washington state Radiation Therapist license required (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Experience with SRS, SBRT, IMRT, IGRT and CT Simulation strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Eclipse treatment planning and EPIC charting
• Comfortable floating between like units and adapting to different treatment environments
• Ability to manage a high-volume daily caseload while maintaining patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in external beam therapy techniques and CT simulation workflows
• Experience with Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning and ARIA/TrueBeam systems
• Skilled in CBCT/kV/mV imaging and image-guided radiation therapy
• Knowledge of dosimetry principles, electron setups and field shaping
• Familiar with VMAT, respiratory gating and SBRT workflows
• Able to perform accurate charting in EPIC and conduct chart checks
• Trained in radiation safety, emergency response (crash cart, defibrillator) and patient positioning
• Comfortable customizing molds and shields and supporting a variety of malignant and benign diagnoses
