Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and mealtime needs
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Document resident care and observations in a timely, clear manner
• Collaborate with nurses and therapy teams to implement individualized care plans
• Promote a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents, families and the care team
• Support resident dignity and independence while delivering high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — VT or NH licensure preferred
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Willingness to complete background and drug screening per facility policy
• Dependable, patient-focused, with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant (LNA) training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling
• Basic charting and ability to follow care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
