Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate 1.5T GE Artist and Philips MRI scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Perform and optimize T1 and T2 weighted sequences, diffusion and special imaging procedures
• Prepare and administer MRI contrast media safely and start peripheral IVs when required
• Execute multiplanar reconstruction, MIP and image post-processing to support radiologist reads
• Document exams accurately in Epic and manage images through PACS
• Provide compassionate patient care, screening, and education for each procedure
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain a 1:1 patient focus and efficient workflow
• Ensure scanner and accessory maintenance and follow safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARRT R certification accepted
• BLS certification required
• State licensure in Oregon (or eligible to obtain) required
• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• Experience with GE Artist 1.5T and familiarity with Philips 1.5T scanners preferred
• Comfortable with Epic charting and PACS workflows
• Demonstrated experience with contrast administration and starting peripheral IVs
• Community hospital and travel assignment experience preferred

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with MRI sequences including T1, T2 and diffusion protocols
• Skilled in multiplanar reconstruction and image post-processing techniques
• Experience with abdominal, pelvis and vascular MR procedures including peripheral MRA
• Familiarity with surface coils and musculoskeletal imaging (hip, knee, shoulder)
• Ability to perform MIP and ADC mapping for advanced image interpretation
• Strong patient communication, safety screening and positioning skills
• Comfortable working in a fast paced short term acute care environment
