Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing function using evidence-based evaluation tools
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear, measurable goals
• Provide skilled therapy to patients across the lifespan, adapting interventions to each patient’s needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care
• Document progress and maintain timely, accurate clinical records
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and maximize outcomes
• Participate in care planning and discharge recommendations to promote safe transitions

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in New Hampshire (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required
• Experience delivering assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders
• Active professional liability insurance or ability to obtain
• Willingness to complete facility-required screenings and background checks

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required); ASHA-accredited program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in standardized and functional assessment techniques
• Strong clinical reasoning with experience designing individualized treatment plans
• Competent with documentation standards and electronic health record systems
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, nurses, and families
• Familiarity with dysphagia management and compensatory strategies
