Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality evaluation and treatment plans for patients to maximize functional outcomes
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and adjust plans based on patient progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support patient goals
• Document patient progress accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with facility standards
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and injury prevention to promote long-term independence
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Maine or eligible for Maine licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s/Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with appropriate state licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in rehabilitation/physical therapy settings preferred; travel experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy acceptable with current licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Knowledge of mobility, balance, gait training, and functional restoration
• Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and therapists
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt treatment plans to patient needs
