Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
- Develop individualized treatment plans and meaningful goals to help patients regain function
- Provide skilled direct therapy and dysphagia management for patients in a rehab setting
- Document progress clearly and timely in the patient record to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on therapy strategies, safe swallowing techniques and home carryover
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning to maximize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Maryland SLP licensure required or eligible to obtain prior to start
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Experience in adult rehabilitation or post-acute care is a plus
- Strong documentation and communication skills; comfortable using EHR systems
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in clinical swallowing evaluation and treatment (dysphagia management)
- Knowledge of cognitive-communication assessment and therapy
- Ability to write measurable goals and produce concise, clinical documentation
- Proven teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Comfortable with adaptive/augmentative communication strategies and compensatory techniques
- Familiarity with rehab-focused therapy approaches and discharge planning
