Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and dignity
• Support nursing staff with specimen collection, supplies and timely documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and the care team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current LNA license or certification in NH or VT as applicable
• Completion of a state-approved nurse aide or LNA program
• Basic Life Support CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Reliable, professional demeanor and strong teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited LNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care techniques
• Comfortable with documentation and bedside charting
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in patient condition
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and coworkers
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
