Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in resident condition accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and ensure continuity of care
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate observations to the care team
• Foster a safe, clean environment and support social engagement and meaningful activities

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) as listed in the order
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort and experience working with geriatric populations; caring attitude is essential
• Ability to follow direction from licensed nursing staff and document care accurately
• Willingness to work the scheduled evening shift and pick up additional shifts as needed

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient transfers
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and observing/reporting changes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Basic charting and documentation skills; attention to detail and reliability
