Shift Type: Facility-determined days, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening (day) shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents to support their dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
- Accurately document care provided and observations in the resident record
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans and promote positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (required)
- State GNA certification or eligibility for Maryland is preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care best practices
- Basic vital signs and observational skills within GNA scope
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Good documentation and time-management skills
- Comfort working with older adults, including those with dementia or mobility challenges
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed staff
