Location: Silver Spring, MD
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Evening, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (days to be confirmed with schedule coordinator)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-focused personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility while preserving dignity
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support meal service and assist residents during dining times, accommodating special needs
- Document care provided accurately and on time in the facility charting system
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Promote a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current GNA or equivalent certification (required)
- Previous experience in geriatric or long-term care settings preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility-required health screening
- Clear background check and drug screen as required by facility
- Reliable communication skills and a compassionate approach to elder care
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility support
- Familiarity with infection control and basic safety procedures
- Comfortable taking and reporting basic observations (vitals, changes in condition)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
- Basic charting and documentation skills
