Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver precise external beam radiation treatments using Varian TrueBeam and other systems to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Perform CT simulation and assist with treatment planning and dosimetry tasks to prepare accurate care plans
• Operate and verify image guidance (CBCT/kV/mV) for accurate patient setup and IGRT workflows
• Use ARIA and EPIC for accurate charting, treatment documentation and coordination with the care team
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and perform routine checks to maintain safe treatment environments
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists and nurses to troubleshoot complex cases such as SRS/SBRT and IMRT/VMAT treatments
• Provide compassionate patient education and support through treatment, ensuring patients and families understand procedures and expectations
• Assist with special procedures including electron setups, custom molds and tumor localization when required

Qualifications

• ARRT(T) certification (required)
• Current Washington state radiation therapy license (pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year radiation therapist experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Comfortable charting in EPIC and working with ARIA/Eclipse treatment planning systems
• Experience or willingness to treat a variety of malignant and benign diagnoses and support special procedures like SRS and SBRT

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation therapy fundamentals and radiation safety best practices
• CT simulation and treatment planning workflows
• Operation of Varian TrueBeam and Varian 21EX/IX treatment units
• Image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) including CBCT/kV/mV imaging
• IMRT, VMAT, SBRT/SRS delivery techniques and electron setups
• Dosimetry principles and charting/documentation in EPIC and ARIA
• Beam modifiers, field shaping and respiratory gating basics
• Strong patient communication and teamwork skills
