Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (days of week as assigned)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Provide compassionate, dignified care that promotes residents’ comfort and independence
- Document resident care, vital signs, and observations accurately and timely
- Help with meal assistance and feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans and positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification required in the state of Maryland
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Basic experience working with older adults or in long-term care preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach
- Ability to lift and assist residents as required and stand for extended periods
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
- Skill in safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Comfortable taking and recording basic vital signs and observations
- Familiarity with infection control, HIPAA, and documentation best practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with residents
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
