Shift Type: 3x12 Variable shifts — Day 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM or Night 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM; 3 shifts per week (assignment will be either Days or Nights based on facility needs); schedule may include weekends and holiday coverage as required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting and mobility
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature) and report abnormalities
- Perform safe patient transfers and positioning to prevent injury and pressure injuries
- Provide incontinence care, perineal care, mouth care, and skin care with dignity and respect
- Conduct point-of-care glucose testing and pulse oximetry as needed; manage oxygen tanks per facility protocols
- Follow isolation precautions and don/remove PPE correctly to maintain infection control
- Document care and changes in condition promptly and clearly in Epic charting system
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and escalate changes in patient condition
Qualifications
- Active CNA license OR Alaska CNA license application already submitted (documentation of submission required)
- If AK license is pending: active CNA license in another state AND verification of completion of a formal CNA training program (certificate/transcript) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care (LTC) experience
- Willingness to work holidays and minimal RTO (time-off requests must be submitted at submittal and pre-approved)
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
- Travel first-timers are not accepted for this role
Education
- Verification of completion of a formal CNA training program (certificate or transcript required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong experience with activities of daily living and resident-centered care
- Competent obtaining and interpreting vital signs (including orthostatic BP)
- Safe patient transfer techniques and pressure injury prevention
- Experience with incontinence care, bathing, hygiene assistance and wound prevention practices
- Familiarity with oxygen tanks, pulse oximetry and basic respiratory observations
- Proficiency with glucose point-of-care testing
- Adherence to isolation precautions and correct PPE use
- Accurate charting in Epic and timely reporting of changes in patient condition
