Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, dignity-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor residents' condition and promptly report changes to the clinical team
• Support mobility, transfers, and fall-prevention efforts with safe techniques
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with nurses and families
• Encourage social engagement and participate in resident-centered programming
• Follow infection control standards and facility policies to keep residents safe

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required) and eligibility to work in Maryland
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working with older adults and providing hands-on care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a care team
• Reliable, professional attitude with a focus on resident dignity and safety

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of geriatric care principles and ADLs
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Infection control and universal precautions awareness
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
