Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the care team promptly
• Document patient status and care in the facility charting system clearly and professionally
• Collaborate with nurses, nursing assistants, and providers to deliver coordinated care
• Support safe admissions, discharges, and transfers during your shift
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards at all times
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to educate and reassure overnight

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
• Comfortable working independently during night shifts and escalating concerns when needed
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma/certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic patient assessments and monitoring
• Charting and electronic medical record (EMR) familiarity
• Infection control and safety practices
• Clear communication and teamwork during handoffs
• Time management and prioritization in a busy night environment
