Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, professional patient care and support during clinic visits
- Collect and document accurate vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient flow to keep the clinic running smoothly
- Prepare exam rooms, sanitize equipment, and maintain infection control standards
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection and basic testing per protocol
- Maintain clear, concise patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up to help patients get the care they need
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred
- Current Medical Assistant certification or relevant credential preferred
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
- Comfort working in a correctional facility environment; ability to pass background checks/security clearance as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency taking vital signs and performing basic clinical procedures
- Experience with specimen collection and basic point-of-care testing
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
- Knowledge of infection control and standard clinical safety practices
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
