Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient functional abilities and create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercise, and mobility training to promote independence
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and restorative teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families about home programs, fall prevention, and safe mobility
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care to ensure successful transitions
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality by following facility policies and best practices
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Maine or eligible to obtain Maine licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced contract setting with a flexible, positive attitude
- Experience in outpatient/rehabilitation settings preferred but new grads with strong skills are welcome
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and ADL retraining
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely documentation
- Ability to assess and modify treatment plans based on patient progress
- Excellent teamwork, patient education, and family communication skills
- Knowledge of safety standards, fall prevention, and infection control practices
