Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Document care and observations clearly and professionally in the patient record
• Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures while assisting residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working directly with patients/residents
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass facility background and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant training program and LNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic patient care and safety practices
• Ability to take and document vital signs and communicate changes
• Familiarity with infection control and universal precautions
• Comfortable with hands-on care and respectful resident interaction
• Good observational skills and clear charting
