Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and needs through skilled evaluation
• Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans that restore independence
• Deliver hands-on occupational therapy and therapeutic activities
• Document patient progress clearly and timely to support quality outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to coordinate care
• Provide patient and caregiver education to support carryover and safety

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license in Maine or eligible for state licensure
• NBCOT certification or equivalent credential preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
• Clinical experience in post-acute, rehab, or outpatient settings preferred
• Strong documentation skills and ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OT) for Occupational Therapist roles
• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant for COTA roles (if applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activity analysis, ADL training, and therapeutic interventions
• Knowledge of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and home safety recommendations
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient-centered treatment planning
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and meeting documentation standards
