Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and follow facility policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Support admissions, discharges and transitions of care to keep the unit running smoothly
• Maintain infection control standards and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current Maryland LPN license (or eligible for Maryland licensure)
• Recent experience working as an LPN in an acute, long-term care, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Reliable, professional, and able to thrive during night shift responsibilities

Education

• LPN diploma, certificate or equivalent from an accredited nursing program
• Additional coursework or ADN/BSN for RNs if applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Wound care basics and infection prevention
• Clinical charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Time management and prioritization during night shift duties
