Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the rehabilitation department to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapy programs tailored to patient needs
• Supervise, mentor, and schedule therapy staff to ensure optimal coverage and professional growth
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
• Ensure regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage departmental performance metrics, budgets, and resource allocation
• Foster a positive culture that emphasizes patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Current and active California Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) license, or eligible for licensure
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation setting
• Minimum of several years of clinical rehabilitation experience; director-level experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with therapy documentation, outcomes measurement, and regulatory requirements
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort with electronic medical records

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Sciences, or a related field required
• Master's degree or advanced certification in a related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in rehabilitation practices and therapeutic interventions
• Leadership and team development skills to coach and inspire staff
• Knowledge of Medicare, state regulations, and facility compliance standards
• Ability to analyze performance data and implement quality improvement plans
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for scheduling and resource planning
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage patients, families, and staff
