Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs, behaviors and any changes in condition accurately
- Support mobility, transfers and safe patient handling with attention to dignity
- Communicate clearly with nursing staff, families and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Assist with restorative care programs and therapeutic activities as directed
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA classification noted) in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
- Ability to work overnight shifts and thrive in a fast-paced rehab/long-term care setting
- Current, valid work authorization and ability to complete required onboarding (background check, immunizations)
- Travel experience or willingness to work contract assignments is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills including ADLs, bathing, feeding and toileting assistance
- Comfortable with documentation and charting in the electronic health record
- Knowledge of infection control, safe lifting and fall prevention
- Good communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Basic clinical observation skills and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
