Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient dignity and independence
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families and interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated care
• Document care thoroughly and timely in the patient chart
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe patient environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA classification is a plus
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire
• Ability to work overnight shifts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but caring attitude matters most

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safe patient handling and fall prevention
• Basic charting and computer skills for documentation
• Strong teamwork, time management and prioritization skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to build rapport with patients and families
