Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on direct care to residents as a certified CNA
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention measures during care and transfers
• Take and document vital signs and report any changes in resident condition promptly
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and documentation in the resident record
• Follow infection control protocols and keep resident areas clean and safe
• Engage residents in conversation and activities to support emotional well-being

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (T-CNA class indicated for this role)
• Active state CNA credential or ability to obtain New Mexico certification for the assignment
• Prior experience as a CNA or demonstrated competency in resident care (experience not specifically required in posting)
• Comfort working day shifts that start early in the morning
• Willingness to travel and work a 13-week contract assignment

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient-care skills including ADLs and basic clinical observations
• Comfortable with documentation/charting and following care plans
• Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and clinical staff
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during busy shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
