Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on direct care to residents as a certified CNA
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention measures during care and transfers
- Take and document vital signs and report any changes in resident condition promptly
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and documentation in the resident record
- Follow infection control protocols and keep resident areas clean and safe
- Engage residents in conversation and activities to support emotional well-being
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA class indicated for this role)
- Active state CNA credential or ability to obtain New Mexico certification for the assignment
- Prior experience as a CNA or demonstrated competency in resident care (experience not specifically required in posting)
- Comfort working day shifts that start early in the morning
- Willingness to travel and work a 13-week contract assignment
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient-care skills including ADLs and basic clinical observations
- Comfortable with documentation/charting and following care plans
- Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and clinical staff
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during busy shifts
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
