Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant during night shifts
• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and fall prevention efforts to keep residents secure
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and electronic records
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent resident outcomes
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (T-CNA acceptable if state-eligible)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to work night shifts (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM) and the scheduled weekend pattern
• Up-to-date immunizations and able to pass background and drug screening per facility policy
• Comfortable working in long-term care/rehab settings and supporting elders with dignity

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in ADLs, vital signs and safe patient handling
• Excellent communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Basic charting and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Teamwork mindset and flexibility to cover unit needs during night hours
