Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and monitoring for residents
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update care plans
• Support wound care, IV management where applicable, and skilled nursing tasks
• Educate patients and families about care plans and transitions
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Step in as a clinical leader during your shift to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN license in good standing (NM licensure or compact licensure as applicable)
• Minimum clinical experience in long term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings as required by facility
• Ability to work a night schedule and provide consistent, reliable coverage
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• LPN: Vocational nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and resident assessment
• Skilled in wound care, ADL support, and documentation in electronic medical records
• Strong prioritization and time management for busy shifts
• Knowledge of infection control standards and long term care regulations
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family communication
